Pharmacy Clerk

About This Role

The Pharmacy Clerk assists pharmacy staff with triaging incoming prescriptions, delivering filled prescriptions to patients, and handling all cashier duties within the Pharmacy Department. This role ensures quality customer service and maintains a professional environment under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the triaging of incoming prescriptions
• Verify and gather necessary patient information
• Assess workload, establish prescription pick up times, and queue prescriptions for processing
• Assist in the delivery of prescriptions to patients, including obtaining patient signatures
• Perform cash register duties within the Pharmacy Department
• Provide quality customer service to all customers
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a professional environment
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information
• Keep current with all State and Federal requirements as related to conditions of employment
• Perform all store clerk duties as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED

Nice to Have

• AS Degree or higher
• Hospital or retail pharmacy experience
