Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care as an in-house contract pharmacist for 13 weeks, ensuring accurate medication distribution, counseling patients, and monitoring drug therapies for diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret medication orders (verbal and written) and accurately transcribe to computerized patient medication profiles.
- Maintain accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication profiles.
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug reactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, adverse reactions, and appropriateness of drug, dosage form, regimen route, and therapeutic duplications.
- Assist with pharmacokinetic consult service and drug dosing regimens per hospital protocol.
- Supervise and direct supportive staff.
- Assume responsibilities and duties of the Director of Pharmacy in their absence.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed in the State of Oklahoma
- 0-1 years of experience in Pharmacy
- Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately
- Knowledgeable of and complies with laws, rules and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and some Access
- Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis reports
- Financial Tracking experience
- Certified Antimicrobial Stewardship
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Pharmacy
- 0-1 years of experience in Pharmacy required; 1-3 years hospital experience preferred.
