Pharmacist

About This Role

The Pharmacist will combine medications and chemicals for specific use at Cincinnati Eye Institute and other facilities, ensuring compliance with USP 797 guidelines, PCAB, FDA, and State of Ohio Regulations. This role involves maintaining drug inventory, counseling physicians, and contributing to the overall quality of eye care.

Responsibilities

• Compound, weigh, and record chemicals before combining to meet dosage requirements
• Work with pharmacies to ensure a proper understanding of their needs
• Maintain a drug inventory and provide counseling to physicians
• Conduct and recommend stability studies on formulations
• Review analytical work done by independent labs
• Prepare for and assist audits by the FDA and DEA
• Assist with monthly planning and making daily assignments for the Pharmacy Staff
• Maintain knowledge of medications' dosages, interactions, and side effects per symptoms and treatments

Requirements

• Master's in Science in Pharmacy
• 2 years of Pharmacy experience
• Ohio License
• Knowledge of dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications

Qualifications

• Master's in Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school or equivalent
• 2 years of Pharmacy experience
