About This Role

This Pharmacist I position is responsible for performing professional pharmaceutical work at San Quentin State Prison, preparing and dispensing medications, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense drugs and medications
  • Review and transcribe patient charts and medications
  • Ensure proper handling and record keeping of drugs, poisons, and narcotics
  • Comply with Department policies, federal and State laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a licentiate in pharmacy issued by the State Board of Pharmacy
