Performance Assessment Engineer - Secret Clearance

About This Role

This role is for a Performance Assessment Engineer on the C2BMC team, focusing on developing software tools for post-processing analysis and assessing the performance of missile defense systems. The engineer will track C2BMC development updates, analyze performance regressions, and collaborate across teams to understand system efficacy using established metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for ad-hoc post-processing analysis tools and plots to assess and analyze C2BMC performance
• Track C2BMC development updates and perform analysis to detect regressions after code changes
• Collaborate across teams to understand and perform deep dive analysis of C2BMC performance using established Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs) and Special Interest Items (SIIs)
• Determine the efficacy of the C2BMC System related to timing, track quality, discrimination accuracy, and other parameters over large datasets
• Act as the technical liaison between analysts and developers; translate analysis findings into concrete, actionable development tasks
• Create and present analysis documents and briefs, including detailed presentations for internal/external leadership to assess C2BMC performance

Requirements

• Final Secret clearance
• Relevant applied experience in Software Engineering
• Experience with programming languages including Java, C++, Python, database management, networking or data communications

Qualifications

• Relevant applied experience in Software Engineering

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with applying statistical distributions in hypothesis testing, model validation, inferential statistics, confidence-interval estimation, and interpretation of goodness-of-fit tests
• Experience producing tooling and products to assist with the analysis or assessment of a system or project, preferably in Java and Python
• Experience with DevOps related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc)
• Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems
• Experience with creating and briefing chart packages for tooling or analysis performed
