Patient Placement Coordinator RN

About This Role

This role is responsible for coordinating the placement of patients, both transfers and direct admits, to Kadlec Regional Medical Center while ensuring compliance with COBRA regulations and facilitating physician communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage placement of all patient transfers-in, direct admits, and Emergency Department admits to Kadlec Regional Medical Center
• Facilitate acceptance of patients to Providence St. Mary's Medical Center
• Facilitate physician communication and identify accepting physicians as necessary
• Verify bed availability as it relates to COBRA regulations
• Establish strong relationships with key staff throughout the organization
• Provide feedback to referring physicians for transfers in from other facilities

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
• Computer (windows environment) experience
• Experience in a variety of software applications with an emphasis on word processing and data entry

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Nice to Have

• 2 years recent, acute care nursing experience
