This role involves accurately scheduling appointments and registering new patients, ensuring all demographic and insurance information is properly recorded and updated. You will handle a high volume of calls and provide excellent customer service within an orthopedic healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for all patients in an accurate and professional manner
- Register new patients by obtaining demographics and insurance information
- Handle requests for add-on appointments immediately according to physician protocols
- Update insurance information for established patients as needed
- Verify personal and insurance information for established patients
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls
- Intermediate data entry skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in a high-volume call center
- Familiarity with Athena EMR
