Part Time Veterinarian

About This Role

This role involves providing comprehensive emergency and critical veterinary care to pets in the Tri-Cities region. The Part-Time Veterinarian will maintain clinical engagement, balance personal commitments, and ensure continuity of care within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
• Communicate and educate clients on medical procedures and pet care
• Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgery
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
• Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
• Evaluate and monitor protocols for hospital operations from intake to discharge
• Monitor cases and attend daily rounds to maintain high standards
• Participate in practice management updates and training

Requirements

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
• Current State Veterinary License
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
• 1+ years of experience in emergency practice
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent surgical and dental skills
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
