Join our team as a Part-Time Veterinarian, providing comprehensive patient exams, diagnostic procedures, and surgery while maintaining work-life balance and flexibility. You will work alongside a locally led care team supported by national resources.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
- Communicate effectively with clients and educate them on pet care
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery using modern equipment
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Manage pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for hospital operations from intake to discharge
- Continuously monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds for quality assurance
- Participate in practice management updates and training
Requirements
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD)
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care
Qualifications
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice

- Clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals
- Ability to develop solutions to challenges relating to hospital management
- Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients
- Ability to provide and receive appropriate constructive criticism
- Understanding of veterinary hospital management and finances
- Knowledge and understanding of ethical principles
- Commitment to continuing education
