This Paralegal role involves working on complex legal matters, including corporate, commercial, and real estate transactions, four days a week in Providence, Rhode Island. The position requires support for legal operations through drafting documents, conducting research, and managing corporate governance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts and legal documents related to corporate and commercial transactions
- Provide support in real estate matters, including leasing agreements and commercial property transactions
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare summaries to assist attorneys in decision-making processes
- Manage corporate governance tasks, including maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Facilitate mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions by preparing necessary documentation
- Support estate planning activities by drafting wills, trusts, and related documents
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare purchase agreements and other transactional paperwork
- Maintain accurate and organized files for all legal matters and projects
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on legal processes
- Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in corporate or real estate law
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance and commercial transactions
- Familiarity with real estate leasing and commercial property matters
- Proficiency in preparing legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
