Paralegal

About This Role

This Paralegal role involves working on complex legal matters, including corporate, commercial, and real estate transactions, four days a week in Providence, Rhode Island. The position requires support for legal operations through drafting documents, conducting research, and managing corporate governance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts and legal documents related to corporate and commercial transactions
• Provide support in real estate matters, including leasing agreements and commercial property transactions
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare summaries to assist attorneys in decision-making processes
• Manage corporate governance tasks, including maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulations
• Facilitate mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions by preparing necessary documentation
• Support estate planning activities by drafting wills, trusts, and related documents
• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare purchase agreements and other transactional paperwork
• Maintain accurate and organized files for all legal matters and projects
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on legal processes
• Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in corporate or real estate law
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance and commercial transactions
• Familiarity with real estate leasing and commercial property matters
• Proficiency in preparing legal documents, contracts, and agreements
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal
