Paralegal

About This Role

Support an in-house legal department for a retail company by managing high-volume employment and litigation functions, ensuring subpoena compliance, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a centralized subpoena and legal request inbox, triaging and routing matters to appropriate internal teams
• Track and coordinate 1,000+ employment-related subpoenas, garnishments, and personnel record requests annually
• Maintain and update legal trackers to ensure deadlines, responses, and compliance obligations are met
• Coordinate with internal legal, HR, payroll, and outside counsel as needed
• Support document execution workflows using DocuSign
• Ensure accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and audit readiness
• Assist with general litigation support and administrative legal tasks as required

Requirements

• Prior experience as a paralegal or litigation legal support professional
• Strong experience with subpoena management and legal intake processes
• Comfort working with high-volume, time-sensitive matters
• Proficiency with DocuSign
• Strong organizational, tracking, and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a paralegal or litigation legal support professional, preferably in-house

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting employment law matters
• Familiarity with legal matter tracking tools or CLM systems including Ironclad
