About This Role

Maintain and administer the company's Oracle database environments, ensuring high resiliency, performance, and security. Be responsible for HA/DR, capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in alignment with client SLAs.

Responsibilities

Administer Oracle database environments, including supporting, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and patching database systems
Monitor system health, availability, and performance, and troubleshoot issues
Perform database performance tuning and optimization
Manage database backup, restore, and recovery processes
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security
Administer Oracle Grid Infrastructure and manage database storage, including ASM
Automate routine DBA tasks to improve efficiency and reliability
Support Oracle HA/DR solutions, including RAC and Data Guard
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support the production database environment
Support software development initiatives, including production releases and deployments
Coordinate and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
Learn and understand relevant business processes, data flows, system criticality, and dependencies
Continuously seek opportunities to improve systems through more efficient and effective technologies and practices

Requirements

7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting Oracle RDBMS versions (11g through 19c+)
Strong working knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
Strong working knowledge of operating systems such as AIX, Linux, and Windows
Extensive experience across the full project lifecycle
Advanced experience developing database scripts using SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripting
Solid understanding of Oracle database design, development, and documentation standards
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting Oracle RDBMS versions (11g through 19c+).

Nice to Have

Experience with other DBMS platforms such as PostgreSQL or Sybase
