Join a large retina practice as an Ophthalmic Technician or Medical Assistant to assist physicians with patient care, including taking histories, performing vision exams, preparing for injections, and conducting imaging tests.
Responsibilities
- Take patient histories in the EMR system
- Perform vision exams
- Prepare patients for injections
- Administer drops
- Perform a variety of imaging tests
- Complete charting and scribing
- Communicate verbally with patients and colleagues
- Stand, walk, and lift objects over 20 pounds regularly
- Use hands to operate equipment and demonstrate manual dexterity
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Desire to work with patients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year health care experience or equivalent medical training desired (but not required)
