Operate and maintain aseptic filling production lines, ensuring product quality and safety while minimizing material loss and performing changeovers.
Responsibilities
- Move juice from the run tank to the filler, maintaining accurate temperature control charts and meeting Critical Control Points
- Monitor and complete CIP/Kosher/Organic washes from the run tank through the pasteurizer and to the fillers
- Operate equipment efficiently to optimize production-line run time and attend to the filler
- Monitor the flow of bottles, clear jams, and alert maintenance of mechanical malfunctions
- Maintain good housekeeping within the process operation
- Perform basic Autonomous Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and proper operations for machines and accessories
- Detect equipment malfunctions, perform adjustments, and set up equipment for daily production with correct recipes
- Respond quickly to alarms and troubleshoot machinery to prevent unnecessary downtime or product quality deficiencies
- Record all data such as cycles, frequency, downtime, and faults using the computer system
- Retrieve and fill cap hoppers, monitor and adjust bottle filler speed, and perform minor equipment adjustments
- Complete packaging changeovers on the filler, rinser, and depal by adjusting rails and swapping parts
- Sample product at the beginning of runs to ensure conformance to standards, retrieve product quality specifications, and perform required quality tests
- Assist the supervisor with inventory verification, record waste, usage, and maintain inventory control logs
- Perform and document water and chemical washes, track formula yield, and monitor pasteurizer/fill-tank temperature charts and levels
- Adjust temperatures and product flow to ensure conformance to specifications, recording reasons for variations
- Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements, notifying management of potential issues
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment operating production equipment
- Analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment operating production equipment
