Occupational Therapist

About This Role

This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions for individuals to improve their functional abilities and engagement in daily activities. The Occupational Therapist will facilitate patient rehabilitation and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional status, strengths, and limitations across physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional aspects.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, therapeutic goals, and patient preferences using evidence-based interventions.
• Guide patients through activities to enhance their independence, productivity, and overall quality of life.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive strategies, techniques for functional improvements, activities of daily living, and use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (COTAs, PTs, SLPs, nurses, physicians) to coordinate holistic care plans.
• Monitor patient progress, reassess goals, and modify treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Utilize standardized assessment tools, functional measures, and patient feedback to evaluate effectiveness of interventions.

Requirements

• Masters/Doctorate Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
