The Occupational Therapist at Temecula Valley Hospital evaluates, plans, directs, and administers occupational therapy modalities to patients as prescribed by a licensed physician. This role involves developing and implementing individualized treatment programs, including innovative home programs, for patients with diverse disabilities and medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer occupational therapy modalities prescribed by a licensed physician
- Develop and implement patient treatment programs
- Design treatment programs for patients with varying degrees/types of disabilities and multiple medical problems
- Develop innovative home programs individualized to meet the needs of the patient/family
- Instruct the patient and family in these home programs
Requirements
- Completion of degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- BLS (AHA) current certification
Qualifications
- Completion of degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
- One (1) year experience as an occupational therapist in acute care facility preferred
Nice to Have
- One (1) year experience as an occupational therapist in acute care facility
