About This Role

This Occupational Therapist position at Community Hospital involves working with patients to improve their daily living abilities through purposeful activity and interventions. The role is focused on promoting independence, preventing injury, and restoring function.

Responsibilities

  • Promote optimum independence in daily living for patients
  • Provide goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to enhance functional mobility and daily life tasks
  • Ensure continuation of performance through effective education of the patient, family, or support system
  • Provide adaptive methods and equipment as appropriate to enhance performance
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families
  • Protect confidentiality in all applicable areas
  • Perform evaluations to determine the need for splints, orthotics, and surgical casting, and make adjustments as needed
  • Organize and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Accurately complete job responsibilities within specified time constraints

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate Degree as an Occupational Therapist
  • Current or licensure-eligible as a registered Occupational Therapist in the State of Oklahoma
  • AHA BLS-HCP required within 30 days of hire

Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate Degree as an Occupational Therapist

Certifications

AHA BLS-HCP (Required)
