Occupational Therapist PRN Float Pool

About This Role

Evaluate and treat patients through occupational therapy programs based on physician orders. Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate patient progress towards post-acute or home care goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and provide treatment programs to facilitate patient specific goals
• Assess the patient’s response to treatment and recommend treatment plan changes to improve quality of outcome and maintain patient safety
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures
• Ensure treatment protocols contribute to overall hospital quality and safety targets and achieve patient safety outcomes
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, method of introduction, explanation of services, requesting permissions, and communication style

Requirements

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
• 1 year of licensed occupational therapy experience
