Occupational Therapist (OT) - Home Health

About This Role

This Occupational Therapist role involves helping home health patients with debilitating conditions improve their daily living skills and motor functions. The role requires administering skilled care, teaching family members, and working under the direction of a Branch Director to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with debilitating conditions improve functions of performing everyday tasks in the home
• Use treatments to develop patients' daily living skills and basic motor functions
• Compensate for any loss of function a patient may be experiencing
• Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services
• Teach the family and other members of the health care team
• Perform services in accordance with physicians' orders and the established plan of care
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of one-year experience is preferred, but can be less with Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services approval based on prior experience setting.

Nice to Have

• Minimum of one-year experience
• Medicare home health experience
