Join MHCGM's innovative Occupational Therapy Team to provide community-based occupational services to children, adolescents, and their families. This role involves developing best practices and delivering interventions to improve occupational performance and mental wellness recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support in community settings primarily to youth and adolescents and their families to address occupational performance deficits
- Perform evaluation, treatment planning, and monitoring of patients’ progress
- Provide family support services, as needed, to educate natural supports
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of providers
- Communicate and collaborate with Integrated Occupational Therapy Team
- Engage in team and consultation meetings as determined by supervisor
- Engage in professional conduct that promotes the values of MHCGM
- Flexibly support other Occupational Therapists with patient evaluations of all ages
- Provide clinical supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed
- Document all services provided in accordance with agency policies and state/federal standards
- Maintain professional memberships, licenses, certificates, and accreditations
Requirements
- OTR/L required
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and practice clinical skill
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to varying environments and situations
- Ability to work with individuals of varying ages, diagnoses, and presentations
- Self-directed while remaining team oriented
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record
- Proof of auto-insurance
