Occupational Therapist

About This Role

Provide individualized occupational therapy services to residents in a residential care setting to support their independence, daily living skills, and overall functional improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized OT care to residents in a residential care setting
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each resident’s needs
• Collaborate with the care team and families to support resident outcomes
• Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools
• Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
