The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients and help them improve motor functions and reasoning abilities, teaching them to perform daily tasks and compensate for permanent loss of function. This role supports patients with various disabling conditions at a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and help them improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities
- Teach patients to perform daily living and working tasks to compensate for permanent loss of function
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
Requirements
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Basic Life Support/CPR card
Qualifications
- One year of experience in the care of patients in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

- One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures
- Understanding of treatment costs and financial support
- Competency in providing care to established standards
- Ability to apply age-specific standards for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- General computer skills (data entry, word processing, email, record management)
- Leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
