Occupational Therapist

About This Role

An Occupational Therapist helps patients with debilitating conditions to improve their ability to perform everyday tasks in their home environment using skilled care and treatments, while teaching the family and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with debilitating conditions improve the functions of performing everyday tasks in the home
• Use treatments to develop the daily living skills of patients
• Develop basic motor functions of patients
• Compensate for any loss of function patient may be experiencing
• Administer skilled care to clients requiring intermittent professional services
• Teach family and other members of the health care team
• Perform services in accordance with physicians' orders and established plan of care
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Branch Director

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state in which currently practices

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy
• A minimum of one-year experience is preferred, but can be less with Regional Vice President and/or Regional Director of Therapy Services approval based on prior experience setting.

Nice to Have

• Medicare home health experience
