Occupational Therapist

About This Role

An Occupational Therapist will provide center-based therapy for pediatric clients, helping children achieve greater independence and confidence. This role involves delivering prescribed services, conducting evaluations, and developing personalized care plans in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes
• Develop and implement a personalized Plan of Care, coordinating with nurses and healthcare staff
• Administer therapeutic techniques to meet developmental and functional goals
• Maintain open communication with families, team members, and physicians to ensure quality, consistent care
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices
• Act as a resource and mentor for clinical staff
• Supervise COTAs and HHAs as required
• Participate in case conferences, in-services, and team meetings to support collaborative care

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current, unrestricted Florida OT license
• Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with care standards

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Nice to Have

• One (1) year of recent experience in acute care or rehabilitation
• Pediatric experience
