About This Role

Implement and administer pediatric occupational therapy treatment programs for patients with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social-emotional disabilities or delays in a home and community setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality care by performing evaluations, interpreting assessment results, and developing appropriate goals for children
  • Create and implement occupational therapy treatment plans in conjunction with physicians
  • Assist pediatric and young adult patients in areas such as physical, neurological, cognitive, sensory, feeding, ADL’s, and social/emotional development
  • Empower caregivers and families to develop skills to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine
  • Coordinate with referral partners to provide services in accordance with physician orders
  • Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs to ensure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge
  • Document patient care services and care coordination using an electronic medical record system
  • Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential

Requirements

  • State license as an Occupational Therapist
  • Current CPR certification

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • 1+ year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy
