Occupational Therapist

About This Role

As an Amedisys occupational therapist, you will provide occupational therapy services under a physician-approved plan of care, ensuring safety and effectiveness of treatment for patients healing at home.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of occupational therapy service delivery provided under a physician approved plan of care
• Ensures the plan of care addresses all problems identified in the assessment or documents rationale if identified problems are not addressed in the plan of care
• Accountable for the safety and effectiveness of the occupational therapy service delivery process
• Completes documentation timely and accurately
• Supervises home health aide when RN is not active in the case

Requirements

• Current state license to practice occupational therapy
• Graduate of an ACOTE accredited occupational therapy program
• Eligible to take or successfully completed NBCOT certification examination
• One year related occupational therapy experience (or regional clinical leader approval if less)
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA)
• One year related occupational therapy experience to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide occupational therapy services to patients.
