This role involves performing delegated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, responding to patient needs with age-specific knowledge, and contributing to whole-person care.
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties
- Administer EKGs
- Measure vital signs
- Provide basic patient care
- Transport patients
- Respond appropriately to patients and families with age-specific knowledge
Requirements
- Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant program or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program, or demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign-licensed RN or MD, Medical Assistant, Caregiver).
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, Nursing Assistant program or completion of 2nd semester of accredited Nursing Program; or demonstrated equivalency
Nice to Have
- 1 year of previous Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post acute environment.
