Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care

About This Role

Provide comprehensive primary and family care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health counseling. Manage clinical operations and administrative duties while promoting patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients
• Perform administrative duties including opening/closing the clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean environment
• Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
• Speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices and complete diagnostic tests for injury or illness diagnosis and treatment
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
• Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, and chronic condition management
• Provide education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices
• Order and administer immunizations and injections (e.g., COVID19, influenza, TB, Depo)
• Provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education

Requirements

• Active Family Nurse practitioner license in good standing
• Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role
• Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Ability to pass a FIT test and wear a provided respirator mask when protocol requires

Qualifications

• Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification
• Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.

• Experience in Family medicine or primary care practice
• Proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, depending on the market
