This role involves leading the site supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation, and evaluation of nursing program activities for the BSN Program at Unitek College, located in Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, manage, update and evaluate all aspects of the program including budget, faculty, clinical sites, and curriculum
- Ensure program compliance with Board rules and regulations, including preparing data for required reports and site visits
- Maintain student and faculty records and ensure documentation of qualifications
- Identify and obtain outside resources for the nursing program and develop program policies and procedures
- Organize and serve on program committees, and oversee the admission process and orientation for nursing students
- Write articulation agreements with nearby colleges for transferring into nursing programs
- Serve as liaison between the community and the college, developing educational partnerships with clinical sites
- Perform clinical site evaluations to assess ability, risk, and safety for students
- Participate in nursing faculty recruitment, hiring, orientation, and conduct regular faculty meetings
- Participate in conflict resolution for faculty and students, and advocate for and market the programs
- Monitor quality of instruction, participate in faculty and program review, evaluation, and strategic planning
- Assure students complete necessary documentation and meet requirements for graduation and licensing exams
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state where the campus is located
- Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or University
- Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative position
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs
- At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent skills in oral and written communications

- Ability to utilize computer-based resources
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus
- Experience in supervision, planning, budget preparation and maintenance
Qualifications
- Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or University that includes coursework in nursing, education or administration
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative position, 2+ years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs, and 2+ years of registered nurse experience providing direct patient care
