New Grad Electrical Engineer - Power Studies

About This Role

Launch your career as a New Grad Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Studies, performing electrical engineering studies and providing design/analysis for critical electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies for domestic and international projects
• Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies
• Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls
• Occasionally work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects
• Interact with customers to gather critical information, review engineering plans, and maintain professional relationships
• Be hands-on with the engineering and field service group

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (graduation date on or before December 2025)
• Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our field technicians
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Clear communication in English via verbal and written methods
• Ability to effectively communicate directly to customers and co-workers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a graduation date on or before December 2025

Nice to Have

• Educational focus in Power Systems studies
• Experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software
• Knowledge or high-level understanding of performing protective relay projects, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies
• Utility design experience
