Lead and manage the Neonatal Unit at The Portland Hospital, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational efficiency. This role involves developing neonatal services and providing education and training to the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership within the neonatal care setting
- Support the Women’s Services Manager to develop neonatal services and meet objectives
- Educate the nursing team, ensuring they have the skills to deliver safe, efficient, and effective nursing services
- Develop practice within the unit through ongoing training and development of staff
- Identify individual training needs, facilitate courses, and deliver training sessions
- Be highly visible and available to patients and their parents/carers to promote confidence
- Develop and maintain positive Consultant relationships within the Neonatal Team and beyond
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills in the daily management of the unit and team
Requirements
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) / NMC Adult Registered Nurse, with Qualified in Speciality Training
- Experience working within a Neonatal Unit, including attendance to deliveries in labour ward (post-qualification)
- Neonatal Life Support (provider status)
- Experience managing a team
- Involved in Clinical incident reviews
Qualifications
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) or NMC Adult Registered Nurse, with Qualified in Speciality Training
- Experience working within a Neonatal Unit, including attendance to deliveries in labour ward (post-qualification)
