About This Role

As a Field Computer Specialist at GDIT supporting the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in Norfolk, VA, you will provide technical advice and support on the installation, adaptation, configuration, and enhancement of company technical products and systems. Your work will directly support the mission-critical operations of the NCIS team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems
  • Utilize analytical and critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment or systems
  • Provide IT support throughout the area of responsibility
  • Utilize ServiceNow for change management, ticketing system and asset inventory
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts for resolution of network outages
  • Perform Trusted Agent functions for SIPR Token program
  • Assist users in the region with VTC system deployment and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, configure equipment out-of-the-box, and support troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve computer-related problems as requested by employees and contractors, either in person or by using remote control software
  • Accurately document all work, inventory, and system changes in ServiceNow

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of experience with network administration and user support
  • Experience with installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple types of business and end user-specific application software in a large government installation
  • Familiarity with a variety of technical support applications, concepts, practices and procedures
  • US Citizenship required

Qualifications

  • AAS Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related experience; 5+ years of experience with network administration and user support

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a military environment
