Navy Programs Assembly & Test Technician Supervisor

About This Role

Lead, engage, and develop a team of Navy Technicians to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality assembly and testing of complex hardware for Navy programs. This role involves aligning priorities, clearing roadblocks, and continually improving processes to meet critical customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, engage, and develop a team of Navy Technicians, fostering job satisfaction and encouraging growth.
• Ensure the area runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals.
• Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program teams to meet customer commitments.
• Champion product quality and employee safety in assembly and test processes.
• Troubleshoot assembly/test issues and implement procedures and training for improved throughput and consistency.
• Interview, hire, onboard, and train technicians.
• Plan, assign, and direct daily work for the team.
• Develop employees’ skills, encourage career growth, and appraise performance.
• Reward and discipline employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Continually improve own supervisory skills.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a complex assembly environment
• 2+ years management experience
• 3+ years experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS)
• US Citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S., or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a complex assembly environment and two years management experience. Minimum of three years’ experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS).
