This role involves programming and operating CNC lathes, focusing on complex prototype work for a company serving the Defense, Aerospace, Cryogenics, and Energy sectors. The individual will contribute to solving challenging machining problems in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL lathes
- Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills as needed
- Utilize manual machine tools to support CNC work
- Organize, stage, and transport materials efficiently
- Evaluate and requisition tooling and supplies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years experience in machine tool setup and operation within an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environment
- Ability to work from complex documentation and verbal/written instructions
- US Citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or lawfully admitted as a refugee/granted asylum
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years in machine tool setup and operation within an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environment
