Multipurpose Center Worker Grade 3

About This Role

This role supports kitchen operations by preparing meals, serving food, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, dining, and storage areas. This position contributes to providing essential services to senior center clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff in preparation of meals, snacks, and special diet items
• Operate kitchen equipment in accordance with safety procedures for food preparation
• Cook and store food in accordance with all food safety regulations
• Prepare serving line by stocking necessary supplies including utensils, dishes, and condiments
• Serve clients using correct portion control and prepare for off-site meal delivery
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the cafeteria, including kitchen, dining area, and storage
• Operate dishwasher and properly store products, dishes, and cooking equipment
• Clean serving lines, sinks, and surfaces using proper cleaning and sanitizing solutions
• Record temperatures of refrigerators and freezers and empty trash cans
• Assist customers in cafeteria by delivering trays, retrieving food trays, and providing assistance as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of work experience showing ability to maintain steady employment
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in essential functions and learn county/departmental policies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of work experience demonstrating steady employment in any field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
