Election Systems Specialist

About This Role

This role provides technical support for election systems, performing testing, repairing, and maintaining voting machines and equipment. It involves installing operating systems, training users, and resolving software issues to ensure proper functionality and accuracy of election processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-election Logic & Accuracy Testing to validate functionality and accuracy of voting equipment
• Prepare voting units using Logic and Accuracy procedures
• Assist in resolving election equipment software problems
• Perform technical inspection and charging of all voting equipment on an assigned schedule
• Utilize checklists to inspect all voting units for external and internal deficiencies
• Provide technical support to poll workers and election officials on voting equipment
• Train others in the use of equipment software
• Utilize troubleshooting procedures to solve all issues involving voting equipment
• Assist in the inventory management control of sensitive and controlled election equipment
• Install and configure mainframe operating systems software

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of operating systems software
• Valid Georgia driver's license
• Proof of U.S. citizenship (pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-78)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in relevant operating systems, programming languages, change control software, data recovery products, or a related field
• Two (2) years of experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of operating systems software; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
