Motor Vehicle Mechanic with Security Clearance

About This Role

Perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on heavy tactical and commercial motor vehicles, ensuring optimal condition and operational readiness for governmental clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform all repairs and preventative maintenance, including initial and final inspections, on heavy tactical equipment
• Conduct routine and specialized maintenance/repair support for commercial category passenger vehicles
• Repair commercial vehicles, commercial types of equipment, and tactical military ground equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair heavy tactical vehicles
• Advise and train lower grade workers on diagnosis and repair of less complex problems
• Prepare vehicles for storage and mobility deployment, and operate, clean, inspect, and service towing vehicles
• Maintain and update paper and electronic equipment records and provide dispatch service for heavy tactical equipment
• Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components
• Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality
• Supervise and professionally develop subordinates
• Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting
• Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety

Requirements

• Ability to climb up the back of Heavy Tactical Equipment
• Extremely knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures on Heavy Tactical Equipment
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening
• Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain, and maintain a CAC

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• 4+ years' experience maintaining Heavy Tactical Equipment
