Mobile Inspector II

About This Role

Conduct thorough vehicle condition inspections on clients' lots, accurately documenting overall vehicle condition and utilizing expertise to provide quality and timely inspections, assisting clients with their inventory needs within a designated region.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer/client lots
• Verify vehicle identification and accurately enter vehicle information into the inspection system
• Inspect and document vehicle equipment and options, including damage, missing, or inoperable items
• Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition (tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components)
• Inspect and record vehicle interior condition (seats, dashboard, options)
• Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles, including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components
• Prepare and provide daily activity reports for management
• Adapt to changes in daily appointments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of dealer visits
• Develop strong knowledge of clients in the territory and collaborate with partners to maintain active Manheim mobile inspections
• Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews
• Understand NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy
• Maintain production expectations set by the leader
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3 years of any automotive related experience
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented
• Motivated to work independently with remote supervision
• Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instruction
• Ability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for an extended period
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, crouch, bend, kneel, lift hood/trunk, reach inside/underneath vehicle
• Near vision abilities for identifying vehicle damage
• Ability to deal with different lighting conditions
• Ability to read and interpret financial documents
• Basic understanding of accounting practices
• Detail-oriented with ability to accurately enter data and information
• Strong time management skills
• Proven experience with handling conflict resolution
• High level of personal integrity and ethical judgement
• Strong organizational skills and proficient with technology platforms/applications
• Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 3+ years of automotive related experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in navigating handheld and other documentation devices
• Body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge
• Familiarity with unibody and full-frame
• Job experience in Banking / Auto Finance, Accounting, Inventory Management, and/or Dealership Operations
