Data Analyst II

About This Role

This Data Analyst II role involves conducting both standard and complex ad hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decisions. The analyst will partner with business stakeholders to define analytical approaches, design datasets, and develop insights that inform business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with assigned business partners to clarify objectives and define analytical approaches.
• Investigate current and historical business data to uncover trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and track key performance metrics, ensuring consistency with business goals.
• Design, build, and deliver recurring and ad-hoc reporting with precision, validating data quality.
• Create intuitive dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting interfaces to enhance stakeholder understanding.
• Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, diagnosing root causes and collaborating on corrective actions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis by defining hypotheses, designing datasets, selecting methodologies, and distilling insights.
• Maintain and improve metric definitions and reporting logic, proactively identifying inconsistencies.
• Mentor entry-level analysts by sharing best practices and offering analytical guidance.

Requirements

• 2+ years data analysis experience
• Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
• Experience using reporting tools like Tableau or PowerBI

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience with BA/BS degree, or 6 years of experience with HS Diploma, or up to 2 years with MS/MA

• Experience using Snowflake
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Python
