This role involves providing in-person Math tutoring to middle school students, supporting academic success and helping to close the opportunity gap in urban education.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person instruction for 6th Grade STH Math and 7th-8th Grade Math to middle school students
- Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects including Math, Reading, Writing, Literacy, and exam prep
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop engaging, personalized learning strategies
- Bridge language gaps to ensure all students receive necessary support
- Participate in monthly training sessions
- Work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school
Requirements
- Commitment to supporting academic and personal success for underserved and bilingual students
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or relevant field
- Ability to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school
- Attend monthly training
Qualifications
- Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field
