Mental Health Counselor

About This Role

Impact Living Services is hiring Outpatient Therapists focusing on a trauma-informed approach, with opportunities for EMDR training. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services to individuals, couples, and families.

Responsibilities

• Receive free supervision toward Licensure (LPC, LCSW, or CSAC)
• Access ample training opportunities
• Engage with a supportive network of supervisors and colleagues
• Pursue opportunities for growth
• Elect to pursue additional certifications at no cost, such as EMDR, CSAC, and more

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
• Registered as Licensed or Licensed Eligible from the Virginia Department of Health Professions (DHP)
• 1 year of direct clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in a mental health capacity
• Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass child protective services, criminal history and DMV background checks
• Self-starter with good organizational and time management skills
• Positive, hopeful and professional attitude
• 1 year of professional experience working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field
• Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in a mental health capacity.

Nice to Have

• 1 year of professional experience in an outpatient counseling setting
• Trauma-informed approach
• EMDR trained or interested in becoming EMDR trained
