Mental Health Coordinator

About This Role

This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring behavioral health services within MA DOC Secure Treatment Units, ensuring compliance with NCCHC/ACA standards. The coordinator will also provide clinical and administrative supervision and direct clinical services to support inmates' mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment unit programs and problem resolution.
• Coordinate development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for inmates.
• Supervise the planning, development, and implementation of contracted treatment programs.
• Provide clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services.
• Monitor efforts of Behavioral Health Services in Secure Treatment Units to ensure timely and professional clinical services.
• Provide and assign clinical on-call duties.
• Provide direct clinical services including individual and group treatment, crisis intervention.
• Ensure contracted treatment programs are integrated and appropriately staffed.
• Provide administrative support to behavioral health staff.
• Coordinate with the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Licensed to practice behavioral health services in the state where services are being delivered (LICSW or LMHC required)
• Fluent in English language (reading, writing, communication)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited college or university.
