Medical Scribe

About This Role

Work alongside doctors to document patient visits in real-time, recording medical history, exams, test results, and prescriptions to ensure accurate records and allow doctors to focus on patient care. This role offers hands-on experience in medicine for individuals looking to launch their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Review and track lab and test results
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate
• Send and organize documents for doctor review
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. (16 years of age or older in TX)
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Flexible schedule availability
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day
• Access to a laptop (for training)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No experience required
