About This Role

As a Patient Service Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and managing front office duties for a physical therapy center. This role involves patient advocacy, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

  • Greet new and existing patients upon arrival and register new patients
  • Provide information about what to expect during their visit
  • Schedule patient appointments in person or over the phone
  • Communicate regularly with attorney offices, insurance companies, and other relevant parties
  • Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
  • Provide patients with pertinent information about their next appointment during checkout
  • Respond to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers
  • Handle phones, scheduling, insurance verification and running end of day reports

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 Year of Front Desk Experience

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 Year of Front Desk Experience

Nice to Have

  • 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
  • 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
  • Health Care Experience
