Join EK as a Mechanical Technician to assemble custom generator enclosures, tanks, and subassemblies, utilizing blueprints and various tools in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints and bills of material
- Operate pipe threaders and cutting devices to manufacture sub-assembly parts
- Install mechanical assemblies onto generator engines and fuel tanks
- Assemble functional parts of enclosures and tanks using hand and power tools
- Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment and document inspection data
- Use forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, ladders, and other lifting apparatus for assembly
- Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing
- Assemble small and large sub-assemblies according to prints or drawings
- Troubleshoot mechanical/fit issues with team members
- Prepare generator packages for shipment and load generator enclosures and fuel tanks
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and bill of material
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (cordless drills, impact gun)
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment
- Experience with forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, and ladders
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or an Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience
