Peter Basso Associates is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team in Troy, MI. This role involves designing various mechanical systems for building projects, requiring strong technical skills and effective collaboration with project teams and clients within the building trades industry.

Responsibilities

• Design various mechanical systems for building projects
• Coordinate design aspects with other disciplines
• Collaborate with project manager, discipline lead engineer, and team members
• Assure technical expectations, schedule, and manpower budgets are met for assigned engineering tasks

Requirements

• 5+ years experience specific to building systems
• Associate's Degree or studies toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an Engineering-related curriculum
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
• Thorough understanding of coordination aspects of all design disciplines
• Team-oriented problem solving skills and decision-making ability
• Ability to organize work and multi-task
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or studies toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an Engineering-related curriculum
• Minimum 5 years' experience specific to building systems
