Lead and mentor a team of butchers and meat specialists, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the meat department, managing inventory, and ensuring product quality to provide exceptional customer service at Central Market.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of butchers and meat specialists
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Utilize deep knowledge of meat cuts, sourcing, preparation, and cooking techniques to guide customers and staff
- Provide exceptional service by engaging with customers and offering product recommendations
- Oversee the daily operation of the meat department, ensuring products are fresh, stocked, and properly rotated
- Manage ordering and inventory to meet customer demand and minimize waste
- Ensure all meat products meet company and regulatory standards for quality, freshness, and safety
- Conduct regular inspections and enforce health and safety regulations
- Work with leadership and division support to develop promotional strategies and drive sales
- Provide ongoing training on product knowledge, cutting techniques, and customer service
