Meat Associate Team Leader

About This Role

Assist the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations for the Meat department, including profitability, merchandising, and labor management. Develop and mentor Team Members while ensuring high standards of retail execution and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain creative store layout and product merchandising
• Work with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets
• Assist Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor
• Assist Team Leader in annual sales and expense projections and budget preparation
• Assist Team Leader with ordering and inventory management
• Work with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues
• Function as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader
• Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members
• Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards
• Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations

Requirements

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience
• 6+ months of supervisory experience
• Extensive knowledge of meat products
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience
