Material Handler (Kitting Order Picker)

About This Role

This Material Handler role involves distributing production or non-production items and materials to various locations within the warehouse. It requires maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring safe operating processes for all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move parts or finished product and deliver mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations using an RF scanner
• Maintain the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures
• Ensure safe operating process for all equipment within Charlotte DLC
• Ensure work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner
• Assist with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area
• Retrieve and count product to fulfill customer orders
• Participate in general housekeeping activity
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory
• Responsible for supporting the Distribution process by receiving and transporting components to the floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method and sequence standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented distribution center environment
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
• Ability to make decisions
• Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticism

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of inventory processes
• Previous Material Handling experience
• Cherry/reach lift experience
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill
• Proven team player
