Marketing Finance and Operations Intern

About This Role

This internship supports the marketing team's daily operations through data analysis, invoice and budget management, and process improvement. The role aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of purchase orders, tracking their status, and ensuring timely processing of invoices
• Coordinate regularly with team members and vendors for PO and invoice management
• Use an accounts payable management system to manage vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and reconcile discrepancies
• Support the development, tracking, and management of marketing budgets, including creating templates and monitoring expenditures
• Conduct analysis and provide insights on marketing spend, return on investment (ROI), and campaign effectiveness
• Develop measurement plans, generate reports, interpret and visualize marketing data
• Score leads using existing criteria and adapt the process to changing marketing technologies
• Identify opportunities to streamline marketing operations and improve efficiency
• Collaborate closely with marketing and finance teams and vendors to achieve objectives
• Proactively bring recommendations or ideas for solutions and question provided information

Requirements

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting principles
• Ability to analyze, prepare, and present information professionally
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects
• Professional written and oral communication
• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree at an accredited school
• Completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies
• Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75

Qualifications

• Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.

Nice to Have

• Prior use of Power BI
• Pursuing a degree in finance or data science with an interest in marketing OR pursuing a degree in marketing with substantial finance coursework
